Viticulture and wine making
in the Eger wine country

Viticulture and wine making in Eger has a centuries-old and deep-rooted tradition. Currently, the winery has a vineyard of 20 hectares, all along the best stretches of the wine region: along the Áfrika, Almagyar, and Marinka ridges, as well as the Síkhegy, Galagonyás, and Tihamér slopes. Our winery is characterized by a wide range of grape varieties: leányka, királyleányka, pinot noir, kadarka, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, blaufränkisch.

During wine making, the main goal is to preserve the traditional taste of the Eger region

Winemaking in Eger

Our main consideration during wine making is to retain the traditional flavour of the region while at the same time using state-of-the-art technology. During grape processing, we use both traditional and reductive methods. We make our white wines with reductive and oxidative methods, while our red wines end up in oak and barrique barrels after they had been fermented on the skin.
